The Ft Davis Fire Department brought several emergency vehicles to Dirks-Anderson Elementary and allowed students to explore each vehicle. They presented on Fire Safety and demonstrated how the Jaws of Life are used in an emergency.
The Junior High football game versus Balmorhea to be held in Fort Davis has been moved to 5:00 pm.
PK & K went to the fire station this morning for a very thorough lesson on fire safety!

The Spirit Bus for the High School volleyball game in Marfa has been cancelled.
Junior High will play here against Marfa tomorrow, October 1st at 4:30
High School will open district in Marfa at 1:00 on Saturday, October 5.

No students will be allowed to drive or ride ATVs, UTVs, or any other 4 wheeled off-road vehicle (other than a licensed passenger vehicle) from the high school campus to the county park for the bonfire. Violators will receive In School Suspension for three (3) days.
Vision and Hearing Screening will be conducted for the Elementary on October 1, 2024 and October 2, 2024 for JH/HS students. If you have a student in 5th, 6th, 7th, and/or 8th grade check your mail to find out the specifics for Spinal Screening that will also be conducted on those dates.
